The first picture is of Luci at the beginning of her heat cycle. The second was taken today. Luci is between 17-24 days pregnant which is based on their first and last tie. You can see in the second picture the area just behind her chest wall is drooping!

Cydney is now 9 months old and really likes chewing on her best friend Carolina's head. Thankfully Carolina doesn't mind one bit :) Cydney is tall and long and looks just like Luci!
It has been 2 1/2 weeks since Luci was bred and she is looking thicker just below her chest. She is also eating more and getting pampered inside the house more than she usually does. She spends a lot of time protecting the little one and follows her everywhere.
We have had a few storms of rain and freezing rain come through since Thursday. Everything is covered in ice and it's a big skating rink out there! Makes it harder to do chores. Luci and Cisco on the days that we had freezing rain came in to thaw. Cisco hurt his feet and could barely walk with all this ice. They are both fine now that they had some time to warm up and get dry! Everything looks beautiful covered in ice! We hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving! Thanks to Luci and Cisco's protection, my family and close friends got their early Christmas gift of an Organic No soy turkey to use for Thanksgiving!
Tybee is 8 months old and 80 pounds and doing well keeping everything off the property with Hank. Here is a picture of Tybee with Grandpa.
Sunshine is enjoying her first snow in Colorado!
Luci was very sick the other day and I had to rush her to the veterinarian to be checked. She was laying in the yard salivating like a faucet and was acting funny. Her blood work and xray were fine but the vet thinks she was exposed to some kind of poison like a pesticide. They spray the fields around us after cutting all the crops. She is doing fine now! Back to her energetic self! When she was on the xray table was when we found out that she is in heat! I am so excited!
